Privacy policy
Sorry I Lied AI is operated by Trefoil Studio (Ian Zhou). Last updated 22 October 2026. This page says what we collect, why, and who else touches it.
What we collect
- Sign-in data from Google: your email address, your name and a Google account identifier. We never see your Google password.
- Photos you upload and the results we generate from them.
- Payment records: which pack you bought, when, and the Stripe references. Stripe handles your card details; we never see or store your card number.
- The page and referrer that brought you to the site, including campaign tags, and basic usage events such as upload, checkout and payment, to understand what works.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in, and server logs with your IP address and request details for security and debugging.
Why we use it
- To sign you in, run your edits, deliver your files and handle payments and refunds.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
How long we keep photos
Uploaded photos and generated results are deleted 7 days after they are created. You can ask for earlier deletion at contact@trefoilstudio.com. Database backups contain account and payment records but not photo files.
Who processes your data
- Google, to sign you in.
- Stripe, as payment processor, for checkout, receipts and refunds.
- The AI image provider we use to edit your photo. Your photo is sent to it only to produce your results.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the server.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your photos to advertise to you or to build a public gallery.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, including your account, by emailing contact@trefoilstudio.com. We keep payment records as long as the law requires.
Children
The service is for adults. A photo of a child may be uploaded only by a parent or guardian, as set out in the photo consent rules.
