Frequently asked questions
- What is the "I'm so sorry I lied" trend?
- It is a TikTok photo-carousel trend from October 2026. Slide one shows a childhood Halloween photo with a costume that looks too good, each following slide takes one "lie" back, and the last slide shows the real photo with the text "I'm so sorry". Our guide explains what we could and could not confirm about it.
- What do I get from Sorry I Lied AI?
- You upload one childhood Halloween photo and get two or three edited versions of it, starting with the most over-the-top costume and ending with a version closer to the truth. The last slide of your carousel is your untouched original. You can then export the slides in order with suggested captions.
- Will the edits change my face or the background?
- The aim is to keep the face, pose and background the same and change only the costume. It is an AI edit, so results can be imperfect. Check every result before you post it. If a result is unusable, see the refund policy.
- What happens if a photo set fails?
- The credit for that photo set is returned to your account automatically. You do not need to contact anyone.
- Which photos can I upload?
- Your own photo, or a photo of another person only with their permission. For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian must decide. No sexual, hateful or deceptive use. The consent page has the full rules.
- How long do you keep my photos?
- Uploaded photos and generated results are deleted 7 days after they are created. You can ask us to delete them sooner by email.
- Do I need an account?
- Yes. You sign in with Google. There are no passwords and no email sign-up.
- How does payment work?
- Credits are sold as one-time packs through Stripe. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Stripe sends the receipt.
- Can I try it for free?
- Every signed-in account gets one low-resolution, watermarked preview. Full-resolution results need a pack.
- Do you post to TikTok for me?
- No. You download your slides and captions and post them yourself.
- Is Sorry I Lied AI affiliated with TikTok?
- No. Sorry I Lied AI is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok.
